I got about a quarter of the way through this book before I gave up. It started out interesting but I was so distracted by how ridiculously fictitious the characters names were I was thrown off the story every time I read them. It picked up for a chapter and then dipped too low to recover.
Also, the words selected by the author for sexual organs were as distracting as the character names. I mean "peen"...?

I finished this book so fast and laughed all the way through! Then I mailed it to my dad because why not? In a letter with the book I wrote "if you only read one of these essays I highly suggest 'Twelve Moments in the Life of the Artist". Also, I found it's a joy to read this book out loud to anyone who will listen to you!

I will read and reread these beautiful stories until the end of time.

This book is hysterically funny! Iris Owens is an amazing story teller with a masterful use of language. I cannot recommend this enough to people who can get down with a psychotic story and a great sense of humour.
