I'm so happy to have this book in my life. Rick added in commentary on police brutality, gender identity, transphobia, religion, and a whole bunch of other important topics while still having an amazing story. Not gonna spoil anything but Alex is a treasure. Thank you, Rick for making this character exist. Also, Magnus is the most pure soul and I can't get over how much I love his character. Please do yourself a favour and read this book.

If you can get past the atrocious way this book is written, you'll find a forced romance and many uninteresting characters. Save yourself some pain and don't read this.

This is 100% the best thing Rick has ever written! It is a great follow up to Percy Jackson and the Olympians and Heroes of Olympus. The character development is beautifully executed, and it is very fresh and exciting. Good job, Uncle Rick!
