The Outsiders | SE Hinton

The outsiders was a book I read a while ago but if I recall I really enjoyed it. For those who enjoy realistic fiction and from a point of vue from the mid sixties this is a novel for you. It tells the story of friendship, hardship, gangs, and what life was like in the sixties. I highly recommend the outsiders for anyone who enjoys classics or simply an enjoyable, thought provoking read.

Hey guys just wondering if any of you have read the Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. Is it a good one? Is it worth the read? I know that they are making a movie adaptation soon which appears to be really neat so I thought might as well read the book. Let me know what you thought about it!

VioletBramble I just listened to the audiobook. At 770 pages I wanted to make sure I‘d finish it before the movie is released. I loved it even though most of the characters aren‘t that likable. 5y
Rowynbpg @VioletBramble okay good to know, would you recommend the audio book over the novel itself or vice-versa? 5y
VioletBramble I guess that would depend on your reading speed. The audiobook is between 32-33 hours. It would take me, a slow reader, much longer to read the 770 pages that represents. I really liked the voice of the reader and would often use the sleep timer to listen for 45 minutes at bedtime. 5y
LiterRohde I really enjoyed the book. The prose was beautiful. You can check out my review if you want. I listened to the audiobook. https://litsy.com/p/TXhKcElRbEtx (edited) 5y

This novel I could not put down. Rainbow Rowell is a fantastic author. Carry on is the perfect book for anyone who enjoyed Harry Potter or any magical story as a kid. The novel includes mythical and magical concepts and makes them exciting and new for a YA audience. Throughout the novel the characters make intriguing discoveries about themselves that leave you wanting to know more!

BookmarkTavern I‘ve been thinking about reading this book for a while now! Your review convinced me to put it on my TBR list! 5y
Rowynbpg @chaoticgoodhufflepuff I‘m so happy that my review has helped you to put it in your TBR list! It is for sure one of my favourite novels I‘ve read in a while and everyone who I know who has read it also adores it! Also, the second one comes out this September! 5y

I was always a huge fan of the tv show so of course I needed to read the books. The first implement of the series was fantastic. For fans of the show you see familiar faces but my favourite part were the new ones! Also if you were never a fan of the show don‘t fret the books are amazing and are incredibly well written. I highly recommend the quartet for anyone who is a fan of sci-fi, YA or any form of teen novel! Happy reading!

I was initially forced to read this and I am not going to lie the first few chapters took a minute for me to get through but once the story started to get going I couldn‘t put it down. The way Harper Lee was able to incorporate so many metaphors and life lessons all compact into one tiny story amazed me. I highly recommend this novel for anyone who enjoys classics or a real thought provoking tale!

Great YA fantasy read for anyone who enjoys a great page turner. I personally could not put it down and the ending has an incredible plot twist that leaves readers hungry for more!
