My favourite book of biography. A story how a Chinese Indonesian with a strong nationalism build the biggest newspaper in Indonesia that now turns out to be the one of the biggest conglomerate in Indonesia. Wonderful writing by Helen Ishwara. As a Chinese Indonesian myself, I found this book so inspiring that I bought several to give to others.

A history not just about Liem and Salim group but also of Indonesia‘s struggle for independence and the effort to develop it. Remarkable story about how one poor kid from China ended being one the most powerful tycoon in the world. The writers paint quite an objective tone about Liem and his family. Great read. One complain though, the book is quite expensive.
