Promising concept and not a good execution in my opinion. Stale characterization and somewhat predictable. I did like the science parts but overall the story dragged on and on.

This is my first JoJo Moyes book which has inspired me to read more of her work Intriguing storyline kept me turning pages especially once past the first few chapters.. There was some predictability but also some surprises to be had. I liked the variety of personalities and the Poe-type flair it had (you may see what I mean ifyou read it). Overall a solid 3-1/2 stars for me. Now the question is, which JoJo Moyes book do I follow with?

The writing is poetically beautiful. I haven‘t enjoyed a dystopian novel so much since 1984 or Fahrenheit 451. I‘m looking forward to reading the sequel. I have yet to see the tv series. The question is, should I?

Overall this story kept me on edge. I enjoyed the character development and pacing. The ending was not tidy but I actually prefer that when appropriate and it was appropriate here. Enjoyable, quick read or should I say listen. Loved the narrator‘s Australian accent which added to the pleasure of listening.

Never have I clicked on borrow so fast. It‘s finally available. So excited. Listening to it now!!

This book kept me in suspense and I thoroughly enjoyed the Shakespearean and Star Trek references. Parts of this book sent chills up my spine. The ending almost reminded me of The Giver. It was a book club read and I finished it much quicker than I had anticipated.

A bit slow in the middle but great character development. Not scary at all but reads more like a thriller near the end. Now I‘d like to watch the show.

Listening to this and lots of laugh out loud moments. Sedaris never fails to entertain.

Not finished yet but enjoying the writing style immensely. I also love how Mr Straub is intertwining all of these characters‘ stories.
