An amazing book and relatively quick read. A romantic thriller, but more Gone a Girl than Dangerous Liaisons, though it had elements of both. I would totally re-read this, particularly with a high school or college lit class.

This is a book that I keep picking up for re-read after finishing Beverly Jenkins. "The Collector" is a delightful departure from the usual-albeit entertaining and welcoming-froth usually associated with the genre. Disregarding the mandatory chrono predictabilities, these characters are not perfect. The guy is rich and the girl is "free-spirited" but both are forced to grow up both on their relationship and in trying to stay alive.
