Some of my favourite. My edition of The Complete Miss Marple Short Stories from The Folio Society was a gift from my godmother (she‘s not really, but as good as), and it has illustrations by Andrew Davidson and introduction by Stella Duffy. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend reading the introduction, it‘s almost as enjoyable as the short stories themselves!
This is one of very few #AgathaChristie books I haven‘t actually read. I haven‘t really read much in general since we moved. I‘ve been too exhausted, to be honest.

Today I'm a bit brainfoggy, but I'll try reading. At least it's short stories, so it should be easier to get through.
"A man who was a cripple, only half a man, what did it matter where he was?"
Oh my god, if authors could just stop writing stuff like that. I mean, I love Agatha Christie, but as a crip it's sooo annoying to see this "cripple = half a person" (mostly "half a man") thing, and the "because I'm disabled nothing matter in my life". Just ~ let it go ~
And don't use the word cripple unless you are one yourself.
This book really touts that "when a woman cannot have biological children she will obsess over any and all children, and never settle down". I don't really agree with that. I'm sure there are people who do react like that, but none of those I know with adopted children are like that. One interesting thing is the lack of stories of adoption from those who are adopted, in general. It's not all roses and happiness.
I have read this book before, but I really wanted to do so again. If you haven't noticed, I'm going through all of Agatha Christie's books now, started with the Tommy & Tuppence ones, now on the independent ones, and I'm not counting the Mary Westmacott ones. (Might read those later though.)
Next up! I didn't plan to start another book in the middle of the night, and yet here I am. Again.
pickI liked this book way more than I expected! I always love reading about great liars though, so maybe that's it.
Tea and Agatha Christie - it doesn't really get better than that.
This is one of those stories where I kinda knew all along, but it was still such a great book. And I do love Miss Marple.
I have actually had to take a break from reading this one, as it brought up some stuff that made it hard to get through for me. But I'll pick it up again soon.
The Silkworm was actually the first book I read of the Cormoran Strike books. I bought it at the airport. I asked if they had any Agatha Christie, which they didn't, but the person working there suggested I read this. So I did.

Oddly enough - this was the first Hercule Poirot book I ever read. And while it's brilliant, you really shouldn't start with this one. (For obvious reasons.)
