The first of the fantastic Cynster series. Devil Cynster, the alpha-est of alpha heroes, meets his match in Honoria Anstruther-Wetherby, when they try to solve the murder of Devil's cousin, Tolly. More importantly, we meet the other members of the "Bar Cynster", Devil's equally appealing cousins. Laurens went on to write many more books about the Cynster family, but the first six are undoubtedly the best.

My introduction to Stephanie Laurens and historical romance. The third book in the Black Cobra quartet, this fantastic adventure series takes the reader from India to England by various and assorted routes. Laurens can write alpha males and steamy scenes with the best of them. Be sure to read the books in order, since the mystery carries on through the four books!

I'm a big fan of Lisa Kleypas' historicals, but I'd never read any of her contemporaries until now. I'm so glad I did! This is the beginning of what looks to be an interesting family saga. I thought I had it all figured out early on, but it kept me guessing right up until the end. I'm anxious to read the next book, which looks to be about redeeming a rogue - always my favourite! My favourite of Christi Caldwell's Heart of a Duke series, and maybe my favourite reformed villain in the Marquess of Rutland.

Stumbled onto this book and I couldn't put it down! I'm always a sucker for redeemed rakes or villains, and this one has an evolving mystery about how the league of rogues became friends through a common enemy. Eagerly awaiting the fourth installment!
