I was very sad this ended! I want more of Mare and her amazing character!

I originally picked this book thinking it was historical fiction. I was surprised to find differently. Lived this trilogy! I got so involved emotionally I was angry at the ending! I felt jaded! Lol

Cold nights, Vikings, sorcery and a warm bed.

Loved this book and can't wait for the next in the series to come out. The romantic tension between the two main characters leaves you wanting to keep reading.

The book started out strong, with a mix of flashbacks and weaving the magic of lore in with the characters current situation. I felt the climax as very anticlimactic, it was very ordinary and predictable. It was a bit of a let down for how strong the book started. All in all a good story.
