This series is brutal, yet oh so very good. Action packed for sure. Just started the next book because I could not wait.

The Red Queen series never fails to make me feel insanely conflicting emotions. This whole series, though i haven‘t finished it yet, easily is my new favourite. King‘s Cage is action filled and fast-paced, with an ending I guarantee nobody would EVER guess. The well- known quote from the first book, “Anyone can betray anyone”, is expanded on again in this book, and I‘m super excited to read the next one.
“Everyone is made, shaped, and formed by someone else. We all have that little piece of them inside that nothing and nobody can erase.”
“I stare at the boy on the throne. He maintains his mask well. Brow furrowed, still fingers, straight back. But his gaze wavers, Something in his eyes has gone far away.
He‘s terrified.
For a second it makes me happy.
Then i remember.
Monsters are most dangerous when they‘re afraid.”
Pretty good, the start was a little slow but still enjoyed it. Only one more book left in the series for me! 8/10
Another lame picture brought to you by reading ebooks. 🤪 Still enjoying this series - this is the 3rd book (one to go!). A little less Mare angst and a little more in the way of other perspectives make this an improvement on the last. Still love me some dystopian YA, even in my old age. This is my November #bookspin
4⭐ It would have been a 5 stars if the part where Mare was imprisoned, which is almost half the book, wasn't SOOO boring. Sorry not sorry.
Well, thank God I didn't wait! I got it on audio book lol I did manage to get the last one but still waiting for this one. I just finished it & I wanna cry! Very disappointed in my favorite character...🔥🤴 about to start last one sucks I have to work today lol 5/5🍪
I am posting one book per day from my to-be-read collection. No description and providing no reason for wanting to read it, I just do. Some will be old, some will be new - don‘t judge me I have a lot of books.
Join the fun if you want. This is day 116.

This third book wasn‘t as emotionally damaging as Glass Sword. The author could have betrayed her characters by ending it with this book, but she did well to honor them and their decisions, despite the fact that I yelled at them. On to War Storm.
This is the 3rd book in this series & I absolutely loved this book.Aveyward's storytelling gets better as the series unfolds in this epic, good versus evil fantasy genre (YA). Kings, Queens, palaces, warfare-- physical & mental, imaginative powers, alliances and subterfuge--all with characters whom I want to know what they'll do next. This book didn't disappoint. If you like fantasy series books, this one is a must read after book 1 & 2 of course.
WHY!? WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME VICTORIA AVEYARD?
Have you ever read a book and just... had absolutely no words for it? I finished the book his morning and the next book in the series is in my school locker accompanied by other books. So, I just can't wait till I go to school tomorrow. 🥺😊
"Those who know what is like to in the dark will do anything to stay in the light."
I must admit, Maven is the best at making quotes.
"When you are sick who do you blame?" I demand "Your body or the disease?"
He glares down and I feel hollow. "You blame the cure that didn't work"
I am starting the 3rd book in the series and I am dying to start reading. The first time I saw he title of this book I was confused why the author named it like this, and then it hit me. I won't say otherwise I would spoil. I think that its going to be a great book and I have my Hope's up for it. 😁
I wasn‘t a fan of this one. It continued the story where the second left off. There was a relationship made, a baby born, and a war between two opposing powers. There was a little more development of some smaller but strong powers. I‘ll be honest I spaced out because of the war/battle talk. Not a trope I‘m fond of.
Well, I was close to finishing. I‘ll add the last 4 to next month and see how I do with my already working October TBR.
So close to finishing this series! This one was way better than Glass Sword. I really was desperate to finish and can‘t wait to see how this ends. Book four arrives Thursday 🤓
This is my fave installment of the series so far but mostly bc of the POV switch ups providing a voice to the most recognizably human character Cameron and the surprise complex nuance of Evangeline. Mare remains to be super selfish and irritating, but I‘ve come this far - I‘m seeing the series through to the end.
Boy Victoria Ave yard really knows how to twist the knife.
I THOUGHT THIS WAS THE END AND I WAS GONNA THROW A WOBBLY but y'all can relax, there's at least one book left.
Props to my husband who I awoke at 2:45 this morning by yelling and slamming the book closed. He's a keeper 🥰
PICK!! FRUSTRATING PICK BUT PICK!
The second book wasn‘t great to me and I wasn‘t sure if I wanted to continue the series. I already had this one so decided to give it a shot. I‘m glad I did. It was much better than the second book. I‘ll definitely read the last book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
So far, this has been my favorite book of the series for many reasons. Including the different POVs, the SURPRISING ending, and the new characters. I really like the new electrions (not sure if that's the right word), because it was cool to see how others controlled their lightning. I also enjoyed Mare's character change throughout the story because it was cool to see how she interacted with the other characters later on.
I got a little bored and decided to make this ^
I'm roughly halfway through this book and really liking it so far. I love the different POVS. I can't wait to see what happens to Mare and Cameron!
It was reaaaally good (just like the ones before!).
I actually delayed reading it because the French translation for the next book in the saga has not yet come out 😔 so I'll have to wait for a while before continuing... (or I could order them in English 🤓)
I'm ready for the next one!!
“Those who know what it's like in the dark will do anything to stay in the light.”
I loved this book so much. I loved seeing Cameron and Evelyns side of the story. I honestly am starting to like Maven more as a character. Even though he does horrible things he honestly my favorite character. I would like to see some of the story from his POV. I wasn‘t really surprised when Cal betrayed Mare because I never really trusted him in the first place. I loved this book. 9/10
This book seemed to drag on forever. The first book in the series was good, the second one was still pretty good and then this one...I just kept checking to see how long each chapter was and how many pages were left! Close to the end, I just skipped ahead and read the epilogue and called it a day.

How did you choose this book:
Write a brief summary of the novel; who was the protagonist; what was his/her problem and how was the problem resolved
I'm so glad that I have the whole series and I don't have to wait to find out what happens. Otherwise the cliff hanger at the end of Glass Sword would've killed me.
Probably the best of the three so far. So intense, so brutal, so much! The battles were a page turner for me, but the heartaches are literally something else.
Halfway through this! I have to finish this in 2 days in order to make my 4 books a month target!
I tried #audiowalking today with a loan from the library, I just want to finish the series. 1.75 x Speed makes it bearable (I am not a big fan, but have a compulsion to finish series)
The park was FULL of people. I can understand that sitting home gets unbearable, but I did not expect that many people outside. It was a bit uncomfortable really, felt like no #selfisolation going on at all.
I will pick a different route next time.
oMg I‘m dYiNg. It‘s really gonna end like that huh???? Really gotta do me like that???? UGHHHHHH
Fam, let‘s just talk about how I saw this fan art before I started reading this book and NOW I AM AT THIS PART and I literally cannot even.

🎧 EHHH thankfully they added 2 additional narrators as the story was set up with a different structure & a little confusing. I really find the lead character grating at times and every time something is emotionally difficult it‘s waterworks. It‘s really showing its YA colors. I‘m still interested in the story & have already requested the next book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️3/4
