I really enjoyed Holy Terror, Robin 3000 was pretty good too and Devil's Workshop had some great art but I have to say I thought the rest of the stories were terrible. Took me two months to get through a comic, that's saying something.

Carry On | Rainbow Rowell

2/5 stars

A co-worker recommended this to me, saying it was good so even though I didn't like Eleanor and Park I decided to give this one a chance. I think I just don't like Rowell's writing because I didn't like this book either. It felt very teeny-boppery and the plot and characters are mostly rip-offs from more famous fantasy stories. I do give props for the main character being gay. It's always nice to see diversity in books meant for teens

arielmonsen It was supposed to be based of the characters Harry and Draco in a relationship like way, I believe. Everything is very much like Harry Potter and I think Rowell intended it to be that way ☺️ 8y
katee I think Rainbow Rowell is a hit or miss. I have also found myself not liking her popular books. I'm currently reading this, and I'll finish it just fine, but it's not my favorite. 8y
angieranck I think you're probably right about the Harry/Draco thing and it being intentional, Missy and while I love HP this didn't work for me. That's why I think it's just Rowell's writing style that I don't like. I probably won't read anymore of her books. 8y

4/5 This is my first foray into Marvel comics and I enjoyed it (George and Nora LOL) though I think i wasn't able to appreciate it as much as someone that reads a ton of Marvel and knows a lot about the other characters/heros featured and mentioned and the history of the Avengers. I usually stick to Vertigo and Image since they have many stand alone series so I won't have that problem but the Marvel movies have peaked my interest in their comics.

Grimlock Great choice for a first Marvel read. 8y
angieranck Thanks, besides the second vol of Vision I plan on reading Infinity Gauntlet or Marvel 1602 next since I own them. Hoping they are just as good. 8y
Grimlock Sweet! The last issue of Vision and the last issue of the second volume is coming out next month. It's killing me that I suspect where this is going. Different writer, but Viv will continue on in The Champions and Vision will continue on in the new version of Avengers. I can't remember what his title will be called now that they have like six different Avenger titles out :/ 8y
angieranck Oh wow that's a lot, how do they expect people to keep up with that many titles... 8y
