This is a great collection of well-known ghost stories from around the world. I read it in under an hour, they were fairly creepy, and we're right to the point. Exactly what you'd expect from this sort of book. I don't feel the author needed to over-explain things, they're meant to be quick campfire stories to share with friends!

This book is a little gem. This 9 year old girl takes a real person and gives him an imaginary personality and hangs on to him to give her strength as she's lost in the woods. Stephen King does an extraordinary job of making me feel like that 9 year old girl again. I felt her crush on Tom Gordon as I had a crush on many baseball stars as I watched baseball with my dad in those years. He also knows exactly what scares us most, and runs with it.

This isn't my typical read. I read horror and gory guts and glory, but so many of my friends were reading this one. I'm not a romance person at all. I genuinely thought I'd read the first book, deem it lame and move on. Now I ordered the third book, and even pre-ordered a court of frost and starlight. I am complete ACOTAR trash. Send help.
