I really liked this one! Such a great read :D

I expected to like this so much more than I did

One of the best books I read last year!

I didn't love this one. I picked it up solely because of the gorgeous cover, but it didn't end up being great. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't very good either.

This one was cute, but just not my thing. Even as a high schooler, the drama drove me crazy. It was wayyyy too much. The friend group dynamics were neat, but they weren't enough to salvage the book. And the romance was mildly misleading. I like what this one tried to accomplish, but it wasn't my thing

I haven't read all of Sepetys's books, but this one has me running to pick them all up. It was so much better than I was expecting.

My favorite thing about this was definitely the setting it explored. It explored an area of time thats usually ignored, and it was beautiful for that. After finishing it, I felt like I both learned something and entertained myself, it was the perfect balance of both.

I had such high expectations for this one. Such high expectations. I mean, it promised a villain mc, an intricate religious system, and heists. Everything about it sounded amazing. Everything about it sounded like something I would love. But sadly, that wasn't the case

one was SO good! It hooked me from the very first page, and despite saying I'd take my time with it, I binged the first 400 pages in a day. I was slightly disappointed with the ending, but that's my fault. I totally thought this was a standalone, so the cliffhanger killed me.

I really expected to love this one, so I'm super disappointed that I didn't. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't very good either. It felt like it was dragging on a bit at around the 75% mark, and I could feel my desire to read this drop

Yeah, this one was disappointing. As soon as I saw the cover, I knew I wanted it.

I think the part when this really went wrong was the characters.They were idiots.They truly made decisions like a 12 year old boy.Even though they were in a deadly jungle, they still put themselves at risk constantly. And that constant risk of their lives ended up driving the plot, not the premise we were introduced to.
