I am on a self-imposed reading hiatus for the next few weeks. I desperately need to stop procrastinating and actually study for my CT board exam, which I‘ll take in about 2 months. If given the choice, funnily enough I tend to choose reading for pleasure over studying 🤷♀️ but not anymore, it‘s really too distracting. Though it actually sometimes physically hurts me to think I won‘t be reading for fun any time soon 😭 #readinghiatus #CT

This book made me feel. Though Kya‘s is a story of specific experiences that I cannot exactly relate to, at its core hers is a story in which I found pieces of myself.
Some parts do drag on, with detailed descriptions of flora and fauna, and some things that seem mundane and unimportant to the storytelling, though almost everything connects in the end.
All-in-all, this is a brilliantly and beautifully written novel. #WhereTheCrawdadsSing
