This book is enchanting! It came in a monthly owlcrate box and is set in Victorian times I believe, and involves a crazy game on an island. It reminds me of Alice in wonderland. It's enchanting😊(plus the writing style is gorgeous)

when you think a book is going to be everything you ever wanted but it ends up being kinda boring with a bad love triangle and throws you into a book slump

Mehso-so

Pirate ships, myths, magic, historical Hawaii, time travel.

I thought I was going to love this book to pieces. But it ended up disappointing me.

I found the first half to be REALLY exciting and neat, but then it started to drag on forever and became super confusing.

I found the protagonist, Nix, to be quite boring and she never really got better sadly!

The ending was happy, though and Kashmir (thief love interest) was a FABULOUS character😊

Renee Ahdieh is my FAV YA author, she is set on writing diverse novels with feisty, hardcore female heroines from different diverse, historical time periods. Both her series so far are inspired by fairytales. the wrath & the dawn duology focuses on a 1001 Arabian Nights where the Flame in the Mist (my current read) is a Mulan reselling in Feudal Japan❤️❤️ I have loved both stories SO much!

Pickpick

This book teaches about how comparison is useless because only we as we are win our own individual quirks and talents can complete our purposes just the way we were meant to! It gives the message of the importance of individuality and delivers in a whisk of beautiful writing and loveable characters!!! 5/5 stars always❤️
