I like the plot twists and that I didn't see the ending coming. But the characters weren't developed, so I didn't really care what was happening to each of them. I also thought the writing was slowly paced.

This is a fast paced novel that focuses on the story line of the Impryean family who is one of the highest ranked families in the Empire with one sole heir, Sidonia. To keep her safe, the family purchases a Diabolic named Nemesis who is genetically bonded with Sidonia and is programmed to protect her at no cost. But when Sidonia's father displeases the Emperor, Nemesis is forced into a role that goes against her genetically altered existence.
