I read this book as a recomendation by a friend from school. As an adult I was completley taken in by this book. I think this book is a great story of what actually was going on during WW2. This story is definetly appropriate for a younger audiance, it will just need to be tailed to more experienced readers.

El Deafo is a Biography that has been altered to make it not as believable. The story is still relatable with characters you can connect to but make the characters non human does change the feeling of the story.
I remeber hearing about this book a few years back from my sister. I finally picked it up and the only reason I put it down was because I finished it. I was completley invested in this biography that had a believable chracter with clear strengths and weaknesses that made a relatable story.
CJ pushed through the church doors and skipped down the steps
Last stop on market streetis a caldecott winner. This winner is a super simplistic art but is refreshing. The art only adds to the story and makes for a great classroom book.
They all saw a cat is a caldecott winner. The illistrations in this book are something else. While looking through this book they gave a sense of texture that you do not get from many other books.
Thank you, Omu! is a caldecott winner. I absolutley loved the art in this book. It reminded me of something from my past and threw me back into being a kid. The art is much different and is deserving of its reward
A big Mooncake for Little Star is a great classroom Caldecott. This informational book about the phases of the moon is complimented with beautiful pictures.
It was kitten's first full moon. When she saw it, she thought, there's a little bowl of milk in the sky, and she wanted it.
Kitten's First Full Moon is a caldecott Winner. I am a sucker for black and white books because I think that with the artist, something absolutly amazing can be done, this book is no exception.
Great for children that can sometimes feel like they are different.
This caldecott winner is simple and beautiful. The illistrations are no doubt beautiful but the essence of the story is helped created by the artictic hue.
A cool little historical book that also just happens to be a caldecott winner.
If he saw two towers, he had to walk! That's how he was.
I remeber reading this story years back in school. Looking back on it now, I know that I did not appriciate this caldecott winner for what it was. The pictures are not too vast and there are not that many on each page, but those are only positive points because it helps shape each page.
our feet crunched over the crisp snow and little gray footprints followed us.
This caldecott winner throws you into winter. Each page made me feel more and more like i was in the snow just needing a cup of hot choclate. The visual words helped complete this amazing duo of story and picture.
This caldecott I would describe as nice and neat. The picture seem to be put together so well and everthying feels so symetrical throught the book. This book is very easy on the eyes and a way to bring up topics about the water.
This book is great for a rainy day when the kids are wanting an adventure!
every night he stood under the stars, hoping for his turn to be picked by a child and given a special name
This caldecott is quite interesting. The illistrator brought together various types of art together to create such a beauty. The pictures along with the great story make for a great classroom read.
