I‘m using the Rad books with my students these last few post-state-test weeks of school. They‘re really enjoying them and we‘re all learning a lot.

This book had some great representation, being sure to include women from many ethnicities and socioeconomic backgrounds, one trans woman, one autistic woman, and others. It ended with resources for further reading. The information was great. This didn't feel like a picture book, though. There really weren't illustrations (in the Kindle version), and each woman had several paragraphs of text. #WomensHistory #BooksAboutWomen
This book has a great curation of women and held the interest of my kids—so much so that G chose it as her bedtime book every night from the night she got it as a gift until tonight when we finished it. It was a good mix of familiar faces and women that were new to me. And X was my favorite. ♥️
The kids got this as a Christmas gift and I love it as much as they do. Florence was thrilled that F is for FloJo!
Great for talking about women role models
This nonfiction book is clearly constructed and goes through each letter telling about important American women
Part 2 of my library book haul.

In addition to being rad I am sure the women featured in this book are also #fierce
Amazing facts I've learned about Nellie Bly about her #journey around the world #womeninhistory #successfulwomen #quotsymarch18
Such a great great book! It was amazing reading about these successful, amazing, and powerful women. I learned a lot and many of these women I didn't know. I recommend everyone read this and also share it with children! #womeninhistory #magicalmarch #under200pages #marchinbooks #happinessisresistance bc this book made me 😀 #libbyreads
Started reading this to my daughter's tonight, and they wanted me to keep going! Age appropriate dialogue for kids. Great read to start conversations about important topics for women and in history.
Oh, well, twist my arm. I guess I‘ll participate in this challenge! Thanks for putting it together, @Cinfhen & @batsy —I‘m looking forward to it. ✊🎼📚

#jubilantjuly day 7: #startswithmno - Can you guess which women are featured for letters M, N, and O in this rad ABC book? (Hint: The letters correspond with first names.)
I'm in the best book shop right now! Copperfield's Books in Calistoga, CA.
@faelinwolf you are one Rad woman! Thank you for the time and effort you put into this amazing box. Four books I can't wait to read and the bookish/summer gifts that put a big smile on my face. The notes on each item is something I definitely aspire to for the next go round. They are so thoughtful 😊You rock!!! #summersecretsantagoespostal #summersolsticebookexchange
KNO: My Rad American Women initials
So great. A mix of well-known, not so well-known, and the page for the letter X, for the women whose names we don't know. Fantastic information, and encouragement to action. I loved that it ended with 26 things the reader can do, and a call to find out more about the women who weren't included, but deserve to be known.
I previously read Rad Women Worldwide and liked it a lot. This one isn't written quite as well but it's still good and I would recommend it for kids. The variety of people chosen is excellent and I was especially happy to see Temple Grandin for the letter T.
How cute is this? Owen is reading about the Grimke sisters to the dog, Rex Butler. Obviously, Rex is feminist AF. #dogsoflitsy
Super excited to add this to my collection too!!!! Can't wait to share with my classroom and future children! ❤
I did have to go to work today on #internationalwomensday and honestly with our company being 90% women we would have to shut down if we all stayed home! But our red showing reminded me why I love the liberal weirdos I work with ❤️💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻❤️
(psst: even some boys wore red!)
X is for the women whose names we don't know. #womenshistorymonth
Not book related, but, I'm feeling like a rad woman for writing both of my senators and telling them #WhyIMarch #resist
"X is for the women whose voices weren't heard. X is for the radical histories that didn't get recorded. X is for all we don't know about the past, but X is also for the future. X marks the spot where we stand today. What will you do to make the world rad?"
- Rad American Women A-Z
I just got this book today and I can't wait to start it!
Good way to introduce the younger set to strong women. I also liked that not all of them were people I knew or had heard of...
Instead of watching the inauguration today, I'm reading some of my #resistlist , including this quick one!
My seven year old daughter and I both give two thumbs up to Rad American Women! She's been telling me all the things she is learning about these amazing role models.

One of my go-to gifts this year. Stocked up with #multiplecopies. Looking forward to wrapping them up. #seasonsreadings2016 #postelectionreads
Loved reading about all the women and all the things. Definitely going to keep picking up books like this. But best page of the whole page was the X page (pictures above).
such a fun & necessary middle grade read - and it was also exactly the book that I needed right now, so glad that I remembered it was on scribd

This book presents 26 US-American women, who did great things: artists, activists, scientists etc. I really liked their choices (of course with 26 people there is always something and someone missing, but still). I had problems with a few phrases and descriptions, but in general a great book to introduce younger readers to interesting women (and to inspired them to create change themselves).

This young man has been reading Rad Women A-Z at night out loud to me. Last night was F for Flo-Jo. I almost died of pride when he got this out of his book order and immediately flipped to the front saying, "I bet A is for Alice Paul!" It wasn't, but that my 9 year old knows about Alice Paul makes my heart happy. He's a keeper, folks!

This was my purchase at City Lights Books last night (also published by City Lights). Each letter of the alphabet features a spread of illustration and mini biography. So awesome!
This book is magic and obviously goes on my bookshelf cover out.
After a long day of walkies and chasing frisbees, a dog just needs to relax and unwind with a great book.
A souvenir from my trip to Denver and visit to the Molly Brown house which is the new center of the Venn diagram of my #badassladies collection and my teapot collection. #votesforwomen
Spending my evening with some rad American women.
