Pickpick

"It seemed to me that Dante's face was a map of the world. A world without any darkness...How beautiful was that?"

YA fiction is a soft spot of mine. This novel has much beauty in prose - a reminder that you don't need complex words to be a great writer. Ari, the narrator, is alarmingly relatable in the all-too-human confusion of navigating adolescence, making sense of friendship, love and everything in between. Small gripe - kinda abrupt ending.
