I'm surprised by how much I enjoyed this novel. Darkly funny for a novel about death. The relationship between the cellist and his dog makes me smile even now. :)

Another dystopian novel set in England (this followed my reading of The Chimes by Anna Smaill) this time set a hundred or so years ago. I enjoyed Vyleta's writing style and the world he built. The story didn't go where I was expecting which is always a nice surprise.
Wow! I just finished this and I loved it. I was enthralled by this dystopian world where music has such incredible power and memories are so precious.
