so-soThis is my first reading of any Star Trek novel. The storyline was engaging after the first chapter.
Selar, the Vulcan doctor had a particularly compelling journey. Her story threw me off the unfeeling Vulcan potrayal commonly seen in the TV series. I was completely floored at reading the potrayal of a Vulcan in this installment.
