The Girl on the Train | The Girl on the Train
Pickpick

I really enjoyed reading this book. I love the writing style concept, but each chapter is titled with a date and time of day. At times, it was hard to remember what "date" you left off on- unfortunately that infor was pertinent as they sometimes backtracked as it was a diff perspective from a diff character. Entertaining, well written, with just enough twists, relatability, and just a little bit predictable, but in a way that you appreciate. 3/5

Into The Water | Paula Hawkins

Mehso-so

One of the most intriguing ways that Paula writes this book is that each chapter is a vignette, or viewpoint, of one of the characters in the story. I love this but I will say throughout the whole book, there were so many different characters that this layout was difficult to follow at times. it seemed to climax with several different surprises that didn‘t seem all that necessary- One left unresolved. The final bang l I found to be confusing. 4/10

Pickpick

This is the type of book that from the get-go, it begins as intense, enthralling and wanting you to turn the next page faster than you did the previous one. The books begins with a tense scene, and while you think that most of the book will remain as part of solving the crime to this specific scene in this specific place, you were swept up in a completely different direction - in the best way. Clouds of Witness | Dorothy L. Sayers
Pickpick

My imagination took of with this mystery thanks to the beautiful and captivating writing style of Dorothy Sayers. My favorite part of the book is how she weaves new and different storylines throughout the book- even up until the final chapters. Brilliant. Her use of French and how she so eloquently made out English slang to be enjoyable to read made the book all the more authentic. Thoroughly enjoyed this read and would do it over and over again.

It was predictable. I hated all of the references to societies most recent trends and apps. Everything from Instagram DMs to Etsy to TikTok. It was a lot. Having said that, I read it in a day, it was enjoyable from the standpoint of easy, mindless reading and for the heck of it you wanted to know what happened. Not because you felt invested.

I would give a 6 out of 10. It was easy and enjoyable to read, though I feel like there were areas that had too much details and other areas that were rushed/ had a huge build up, then disappointed me! The end!! the entire book led up to the ending, but the ending concluded in no more than 5 pages. She had an affair and it did not tie into the story hardly at all. Over all, enjoyable, but seemed like an immature attempt
