A beautifully crafted book from start to finish. The characters were engaging and well thought and I couldn't stop reading it. No clues on how to stop time though...

Dum-dum. Two notes and you have a villain, however while the movie was accomplished. The source material was trailing in places and a tidal wave of characters gave me a slight headache, though my key interest point throughout is the change of perspectives throughout; all told from 3rd person however Peter Benchley didn't limit this to dry land - and that is probably one of the reasons, I'd recommend this book.
I find the more I read about Perdu, i find myself relating to him more and more
