"'Whom' may indeed be on the way out, but so is Venice, and we still like to go there."
This was a book I couldn't put down. There are not enough books about mental health, and this one was amazing. As someone who struggles with anxiety, I can say that the descriptions of Aza's anxiety attacks were spot on. John Green is usually a hit or miss for me, but I have been recommending this book to everyone I make eye contact with.
This was a wonderful read of what it means to live fully by the Bible. I would recommend it to religious and non-religious folks alike.
Since we just celebrated Father's Day, I decided to read a book my dad has been recommending for several years now. It has yet to disappoint. 😊
This book had its ups and downs. Some parts were riveting, others I wanted to skip past. I loved the characters, and the plot was interesting, but there was a lot that probably could've been cut without hurting the story.
My #LitCube this month was London themed. I'm obsessed 😍🇬🇧
What to do on a two hour train ride to York? Get lost in a book 📖🤓
This was a beautifully written book about racism.
You read the story through the eyes of a black nurse on trial for murder, a white public defender who swears she's not racist, and a white supremest who is suing the nurse.
I can't say enough good things about this novel. Picoult did extensive research to make this book as accurate and representative as possible, and that really comes through in the story.
"But I have spent twenty years seeing how beautiful women are - not because of how they look, but because of what their bodies can withstand."
About to get deep over Spring Break
The first book was so good, but this one was just a disappointment. It took me forever to get through and failed to hold my attention. The ending was a pretty big let down. Just skip it. Read the first one as a stand-alone novel.
My Lit-Cube finally came in! Officially my new favorite subscription box 😍
I'm spending thousands of dollars to read picture books. At least I got to pick the books 🤷
It was an interesting story overall, but the ending was pretty underwhelming.
Few things are more satisfying than reading by the glow of Christmas lights.
