In the book rupi takes us on a journey through her life and what she‘s overcome and the feelings she‘s felt and she expresses it through poetry. If you like books that are something you can always come back too when in any type of mood I would recommend this she‘s speaks to souls with her books. She most often uses first person in her poems such as “ the thing about writing is I can‘t tell if it‘s healing or destroying me” ...

paris.spencer She tells shows your her experience and what she‘s thinking about she lets you drown in her thoughts but in a way it lifts you and makes you feel like you are her in her head see all these points in her life and feeling everything she felt 5y

This book is a poetry book, the author uses free verse throughout the whole book. We follow how a girl starts to realize her self worth after a toxic relationship, and learn how she lets others(the author) help her. A common motif in the book is light and dark and different ways it can be portrayed. If you like books about self empowerment or learning more about your inner self or even poetry I would recommend this book

paris.spencer The motif is important because it shows the ups and downs of mental health and the ups and downs after leaving a toxic relationship. It also is important because it shows the ups and downs or life and how we‘re not always doing good 5y
