One of my favorite books.. It draws me in the way Allende's Eva Luna and Garcia Marquez's One Hundred Years of Solitude do.. And so few others. Louis de Bernières is a masterful storyteller.

Taliban Shuffle.. I highly recommend this book. Barker is well-spoken and pithy, the book is entertaining and informative. I'm enjoying Barker's writing style and storytelling ability as well as learning more about Afghanistan.

A perfect example of a memoir. Part biography, part life advice, lots of laughs, and a very real voice. It lost a little steam towards the end but the first 3/4 was pure genius to me.
