Jane, Unlimited | Kristin Cashore

Pickpick

Jane, Unlimited is a book by Kristin Cashore, the author of Graceling which I highly enjoyed. This one is an adult novel in a quite different world. It's a quirky book that gets weirder as you go along. I definitely enjoyed it though I don't know that it'll stick with me as much as some of the other books I've really enjoyed recently. I'd give it 3.5 stars out of 5.

I couldn't finish this one. I found the subject matter too intense, though it was well written.

Dealing with Dragons | Patricia C. Wrede

This is a middle grade fantasy about a princess who doesn't like to do the things you're supposed to do as a princess so she goes and becomes a dragon's princess. She has to fend off knights trying to rescue her and wizards causing mischief.

It's a really cute and clever book that I enjoyed quite a bit. A very quick read - something I wish I had found when I was younger! Good thing I can still appreciate kid's books now 😊

I actually quite liked this one. I found the main character quite relatable down to the panic attacks. It wasn't a perfect book by any means but I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. Read if you like thrilling mysteries with fairly satisfying conclusions.

Good read! A steampunk adventure tale inspired by Moby Dick. Good world building.

I really enjoyed this fairy-tale-esque story about regaining a lost kingdom and coming to terms with who you are meant to be.
