I wanted to love this book as much as I did the first one but it didn‘t happen. Parts of the storyline was so drawn out that I lost interest and other parts so rushed that it appeared the author had thrown them in as an after thought.
I starting reading this book because it was recommended by my son‘s girlfriend and I didn‘t expect to care for it but I‘ll finish the series because I truly enjoyed this one and have became invested in the characters.
When a book begins “The baby is dead” there are no misconceptions about happy endings yet this book kept me engaged until the last page. I wish there weren‘t so many unanswered questions but it is still worth the read.
This book caught me by surprise several times and I think I held my breath while reading the final fight scene. When you think the surprises are over and the book complete, you turn to the epilogue ...
