Realized I'm burning out on autobiographies lately. If I have to read one more account of childhood in the 60s... 🙃 ANYWAY. Taking a break from Kick Me to jump over to this book on the psychology of things going viral. Pretty excited about it

12 unique stories about 12 iconic individuals and the way their minds worked.. does it get any better? I learned so much from this book. It is a wealth of knowledge and covers far more than just psychology and history. HIGHLY recommend!
Brought this with me on a recent trip, about halfway thru now. It's cringey, it's heartwarming, and sooooo insightful as to the mind behind Freaks And Geeks 😂 a nice light read that's easy to pick up and put down when needed
This book was a fun and incredibly quick read. Highly recommend for travel. The chapters/essays tend to be pretty short. Kaling talks about her childhood, the beginning of her career, and all of her neuroses. Cute, but not exactly an autobiography you can tuck into. By the time you're tucked you're done
Unfamiliar Fishes is a quick-paced, informative, and entertaining look at the history of Hawaii's colonization. I read this book to educate myself on the recent history of my people; I'm half Pacific Islander but I grew up in California away from my Polynesian family so while I was taught our cultural history, I had no real knowledge of our colonization. Not only did I learn this, I was able to piece together some info about my family as well!
Still working on my Mindy Kaling book but ended up getting coffee by a Barnes & Noble, of course wandered in, and found this. Excited to read this next 😊😊
Put down my Unfamiliar Fishes book about 90% of the way thru, cleaned the house, then lost the book. After a few months of stubborn searching, I decided to switch pace until it decides to return to me.. enter Mindy Kaling. Slow work day today so I put about half of it away in couple hours. I‘m excited to rip thru this book but now gettin nervous I will finish several books before I can find and finish the last one 😐 so far a witty and FAST read
lol I know it was meant negatively but I am in love with the term "ocean ghosts" ?
Just started reading this, on the Americanization of Hawaii (aka what happened to my ancestors between the 1800s and the 1950s). I love Vowell's take on history and am pretty excited to learn more about a part of history that had a pretty direct effect on my family. I'm not very far in, but so far so good!
