Hands down one of the best I've read in a while! What an amazing journey! I hate it had to end, but it was a beautifully written book complete with all the things that make a book worth the effort. Can't recommend highly enough!

My 9 yo daughter has been having a rough time at school lately, and I shared my concerns with my friend, fellow mom, and colleague @chelleo. Unbeknownst to me, @Chelleo included my daughter in the #blitsyswap as a means to bring some cheer. We were both blown away with the gifts, affirmations, and pure altruism shown. @chelleo thank you for hearing my mother's heart for my child. Thank you for showing her that people care! We love it! ❤️
Y'all I got the hook up for REAL! Thank you @LeshaMac ! This is AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL! I absolutely love everything here! Can't wait to dive into these books while wearing my socks and sipping some coffee! This shirt ❤❤❤! I'll put the bag to good/constant use for certain! @Chelleo I have enjoyed every bit of this swap. I am so grateful you thought to ask me. #blitsyswap
Couldn't figure out what direction it was going in as characters and plots were introduced. I did enjoy and appreciate how the various microaggressions were put forward, and I loved the relationship between Nella and Malaika! This aspect kept the book rooted in reality for me. Until the ending started to untold. I wasn't a fan of it at all. It was definitely different, with a twist I didn't see coming. It held my interest until I figured it out.
To know thyself is to not take all the praise to head or take all the shaming to heart. To know ourselves is to write our values in cement even if our goals are in sand.
