A lifeline for anyone who has experienced deep and profound loss.
Bought this book in Venice and read it while I was there. Magical.
I read this long before it became a movie (as is the case with a lot of what I read) and let's just say Frances Mayes is living my dream life but then so is Peter Mayle, Marlena de Blasi, Ann Vanderhoof, Melinda Blanchard, Susan Hermann Loomis and Tony Cohan
I'm constantly amazed at the power of books. This book appeared to me at the exact right moment in my life and gave me the lifeline I needed. It also gave me the courage to travel alone and to heal my heart. I don't care if others hate this book for her 'apparent' selfishness. I adore it.
