This isn‘t a book about a man confused of his sexuality, this is a book about how self-hatred and self-loathing can destroy the lives of people around you. This is about a man who is selfish and who does not take accountability for his actions or have any consideration for the feelings of people around him.

A lot of people pity for David but he is the enemy.

Heartbreaking but good.
Characters were great, hated Saleh first but started having sympathy for him in the end.
Everyone is the antagonist and protagonist so this book was written well.

I'm sorry, despite Saleh eating one meal a day, having to do chores in the morning and being locked in at night on the island, he was living my life. They don't do jail like that nomo.

Authors fantasy
Romance between young man and MILF.
Why wasn't protagonist a full black man?
Indirectly represents foreigners as extreme/being politically involved, causing uprisings/troublesome. No accurate representations of foreigners.
Islamophobia - white mother expresses concern over daughters partner wanting Muslim children. Was not an example, this happened in the storyline and there was nothing to refute it. Characters laughed it off smh.

Very informative, but author should have portrayed racism in a negative light instead of approaching it neutrally. Also in my opinion this could have been summed up in an 4000 word article, it didn't need to be long.

You know you can eat curry every day and still be in with the times. This book stinks like stereotypes. If you want to learn about FM, leave this book out.

Great book. Most crime books focus on the crime too much instead of characters. This book focused on characters and on the crime. I feel like Corinne had the most cover in this book. Also there was absolutely no reason to bring a Paddy into this lmao 6/10 would recommend.

I tried to absorb this book but one important thing I learnt from it is that not everyone is fit to be a parent and to be a parent is one of the hardest thing you'll ever do if you're trying to do it right.

This is a very good book.

To children it's a no for me.

This was such a good book, a beautiful story but the ending was so abrupt! Authors did not put in effort for the ending and left us on cliffhanger - I don't like that.

Great book! Did not drag. Would read it again. Based on true story and very shocking. Amazing what people can do when they are good liars. It covers the story Jean-Claude Romand.

May be sensitive for some.

It dragged with the affair. As soon as they bought the victims mother in, it went fast. If only the whole book was as fast paced as the ending. Good plot and story line though. Have no idea why the author needed to mention Carl in the last sentence of the book, it is confusing since she already came to terms with the fact she loved her husband.

Quick and snappy but it didn't have a detailed storyline. Something you could read before bed but not so interesting to stay with you.

This is a very good book - pt1. The second part dragged a bit.

Personally I feel like the author could have ended James's story much better, however, I did actually enjoy this book and would definitely recommend to others. Bit let down by the ending though and the plot. Nobody looks for a long lost friend after so long.

This book is translated, so the wording in English is a bit off.

Although I read the whole book I would not recommend this. It covers a very sensitive issue and may trigger some. The writer must have had a strong stomach to have written such a piece. It is dreadful and is not like any other book I've read, thankfully.
