FINALLY got around to reading this one (to be honest, I read it because my friend said he would read Percy Jackson if I read this)

I haven't read such an action packed book in ages! Generally this ain't my type of genre, but thoroughly enjoyed it!

Onto the next!

First of all, what a gorgeous book. I know I shouldn't be "judging a book by it's cover", but I just have to make an exception here

I felt the first half to be a little slow and repetitive, but the second half blew me away

The relatable overthinking and paranoid quality of the main character resonated with me

The ending of the book, though unconventional, was truly amazing. Simply mind-blowing how the story twists and turns out of the blue

The first time I tried reading this book I couldn't get past the first chapter

Later I decided to give this book another shot, and boy was I glad! A beautiful coming of age story, it's vivid descriptions helped me clearly see the marsh through Kya's adoring and observant eyes.

Though it takes a while to get into the story's rhythm, it's a must-read!

PS: I'm trying to get back into a habit of reading, this was my first book in a long time!
