Just finished this and I am gutted. I loved this book. I wish it wasn't so short so I could stay with the Amendola family a little longer.

One of the owls atop the Harold Washington Library, which is the main branch of the Chicago Public Library system. I buy lots of books but can do so because of all the money I save borrowing the rest. 😉My library love runs deep. I have borrowed my current read in two forms-hard copy from CPL and ebook from Brooklyn. That way, I can read snippets on the go and leave the book at home. I ❤️my libraries so much 📚👍🏻⭐️ #librarylove #somethingforsept
Today is such a hard day for so many people.I've wanted to read this book since it came out last year. It's about a Staten Island family 10 years after the 9/11 loss of their firefighter son, dad, husband, brother. The jacket above belongs to my cousin,a 9/11 first responder who was living on SI at the time. He survived but carries many scars to this day.Reading this today as a small tribute to the bravery of so many who lost so much.#911 #neverforget
