Trying something out of my comfort zone today. 🌀 I love horror but haven‘t read anything like this before. 🤞🏻
Second in the series featuring DS Cormac Reilly and is just as good as the first. I flew through it.
I‘m normally not a fan of books written from a child‘s point of view but this worked for me. I‘m a seasoned (older, haha) horror fan and barely any of the newer books scare me, but this had some genuinely scary parts and an overall creepy atmosphere.
I finished this a week ago cant stop thinking about the Larkin family. It is dark and complex and so well written. 5 ⭐️
Currently reading James & East of Eden. Both are excellent so far.
I loved this and did not want it to end. It reminded me of my very favorite book Olive Kitteridge. Beautifully written and heartbreaking but hopeful, too.
Ah, Sunday morning, we meet again. 😍

Halfway through Small Mercies and all I can say is Wow! Dennis Lehane can WRITE.

Here‘s my top six books of the year! I loved them all but if I had to choose a very favorite it would be One Foot in Eden. I‘m looking forward to reading more Ron Rash books in 2023. Happy New Year!
My favorite book so far this year. The writing is beautiful and the story is compelling. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #readingsoundtrack
Decisions, decisions. I think they‘re both short enough to read on this cold and rainy day. ☔️
Started Still Life today and it is delightful! 😍🦜🇮🇹 I‘m not someone who uses words like delightful but that‘s the only word that comes to mind AND this record pairs very well for a delightful reading experience! 🥰 #readingsoundtrack
This book is ❤️🌟❤️🌟❤️🌟❤️ I love interconnected stories like The Imperfectionists by Tom Rachman and The Tsar of Love and Techno by Anthony Marra and this one is just as good. I need more!
Our first pandemic stay away from home! What a wonderful place to read what is turning out to be a wonderful book.
As soon as I read the essay The Worthless Servant I sent my mother a copy of this book. All of the essays are good to great, but The Worthless Servant will stay with me. ❤️
Another day, another book. The writing is really warm and beautiful but I‘m bracing myself for a full on crying session before the end.
Friday off with a cat on my chest and a book in my hand 😻 I‘m halfway through the book and really enjoying it. I‘m sad it‘s so short.
I love my mornings with sweet Rocko and a book.
One of the perks from working at home a few days a week is my weekday reading soundtrack. 🙂 I‘m not a big series reader but other than the Jackson Brodie books, this series is my favorite. So far, this one is pretty great. #readingsoundtrack
Oh, this book ❤️ I spent so many summer days sitting outside and eating crabs with my family in NJ. We‘d sit there for hours each of us with a big pile of shells on our plates. Good times.
Here‘s my rainy Saturday reading soundtrack. It‘s been awhile since I‘ve read something by Stewart O‘Nan and I‘m hoping the book is as good as this GLORIOUS, slick & shiny cover. #readingsoundtrack
That‘s what I like to see…mask required. 😃
There‘s a lot to love in this tiny, beautiful book. Full of heart and great writing.
Might be my favorite book cover EVER.
