Futility Or the Wreck of the Titan | Morgan Robertson
4 posts | 9 read | 4 to read
An eerie 1898 story featuring the ocean liner Titan which sinks in the North Atlantic after striking an iceberg. The Titan and its sinking have been noted to be very similar to the RMS Titanic which sank fourteen years later.

Mehso-so

Three out of the four stories were just really weird. The Pirates was actually a really good one, but Futility and the last two stories in the book were super weird

This book about a large luxury boat that was unsinkable named the Titan was written 14 years before the Titanic sunk

Reading this morning with the company of my furry child, Ginny (who eagerly climbed into my lap, but did not want her picture taken). Not pictured is her daughter, Lily -both named from Harry Potter. ❤😁📚🐱 #catsoflitsy #LitsyAtoZ #LetterR @BookishMarginalia

RadicalReader @Born.A.Reader did you name her Ginny because of HP? 7y
Born.A.Reader @RadicalReader Yes I did. 😊😊 7y
RadicalReader @Born.A.Reader HP names are so awesome for animals so unique and wonderful like when people were naming their characters after fictional characters 7y
Born.A.Reader @RadicalReader Oh I know!! Years ago, I had a pair of grey kittens, identical, and I named them Fred and George!😊😊 7y
RadicalReader @Born.A.Reader you definitely had to with the wonderfully selection and content provided it just goes together so perfectly 7y
