so-soI did not love nor hate this book. The premise is really good! Tattoos gives a person abilities, using them too much can overtake the holder. The only complaint is that Rina was a spoiled brat of a dutchess and when she lost everything her change in character was instant. She did not grieve. She was just a different person entirely. No trace of her old self.
And so the slippery slope of impulse buying has begun ...... I‘m sure there will be a sale soon too 😊😂🙌🏻🤦🏻♂️ fantasy
#recommendsday: I'm really, really enjoying this one. The mythology and magic structure is completely fascinating, and I love the characters. I'm only about halfway through but so far it's fantastic.
so-soI actually really enjoyed this, and I think if it had've been written as a full book originally, rather than a kindle series squished into a book, it would've been a Pick. There's some clunkiness when the episodes join, and some mechanisms that would've been perfect for episodes, but superfluous in a novel. Kind of like binge watching a TV series, but expecting it to run like a smooth movie narrative. Def worth reading, just not quite awesomeness!
