This may be an "it's not you, it's me." I had a hard time getting into it: the endnotes were distracting, the dialogue felt textbooky, and I really didn't need the sex scenes ? I apparently liked the first book in the series, but I don't know whether I will continue.

Yay, this book mentioned Muriel Murphy, whose family produced Murphy's stout (my favourite beer) 😄🍺

I read this series (well, most of it) to learn about the #war of Irish Independence before I visited Ireland in 2007. One of these days, I really need to read the last book in the series! #maybookflowers

An easy choice for me to make when today's #marchintoreading prompt asks for books set in the 1920s. Guest appearance by Blackie, the plush rabbit who hitched a ride with the books and other things my parents brought up this weekend 😊🐰
