Wise words from Doug's little brother! I'm loving Tom's comments throughout.

It's a perfect afternoon to be reading this out on my balcony.

"It's not you I worry about," said Douglas. "It's the way God runs the world."

Tom thought about this for a moment.

"He's all right, Doug," said Tom. "He tries."

This book was pretty confusing as an audiobook. The lack of plot and the jumping between characters demands a bit of attention, and when I listen to books I am always doing something else as well so this didn't work at all.

This book is so weird, random and difficult to focus on 😣

"Bees do have a smell, you know, and if they don't they should, for their feet are dusted with spices from a million flowers."

...there should be a great swelling symphony of lawn mowers reaping fresh grass upon the prairie lands. Instead of confetti and serpentine, people should throw grass spray at each other on the day each year that really represents the Beginning!
