Based on an Emmy-nominated episode of Steven Universe! This heartfelt illustrated picture book by show creator Rebecca Sugar tells the story of two Gems named Ruby and Sapphire as they discover love for the first time on a strange new planet called Earth. Dazzling illustrations from show artists Elle Michalka and Tiffany Ford capture Ruby and Sapphire's wonder and surprise as their story takes a course that fate never planned for them. The Answer is not only a charming love story, but also tells the origin of Garnet, leader of the Crystal Gems. Garnet's story of self-discovery will be treasured by Steven Universe fans of all ages.

Do you like Steven Universe? A cartoon I HIGHLY recommend, particularly if you have kids, buy I think it's story is enriching for anyone. And Rebecca Sugar, it's creator, is a complete genius and overall adorable person.
This is the story of Ruby and Sapphire, two gems that weren't meant to be together but shocked the world with their choice.

I am listening to Do not become alarmed. But I was wondering if you guys know of any kind of recent books about parents and missing children- that are not thrillers? Thanks all!!

Jess7 I'm not sure. I've read this one. I don't consider it a thriller (but maybe it is). It has a missing child theme for the first few chapters. 7y
Skeebies05 @jess7 yes! I've read this one but yeah I'm looking for a book that is more about the emotional trials (like this one). 7y
EvieBee I loved this book! Read it in Feb. And it's all the feels for those that stay behind and the missing child. So good!! (edited) 7y

LOVE LOVE LOVE. The parallel story in the panels punched me right in the gut, such a beautiful retelling (no, that's not fair as this book can stand alone without the episode), no, it's a beautiful story period.
