A short book of three stories by Shelley from publisher Hesperus, who put out some nice volumes of classic works.
As well as the title story, it also has "The Mortal Immortal" and "The Evil Eye". The first two are supernatural gothic stories, with themes of decadence and selfishness, of loneliness and despair, the latter a convoluted historical revenge story. Shelley delivers some surprises in these tales, which didn't always go as I'd expected.
