“But, I am glad I tried it. Because I really like you. Oh Gerald”.

My favorite part is the elephants facial expressions when he tries the slop!

This was a cute read for little kids! I think the elephant and pig as characters are a good touch to this book. This book also has some humor based on the characters facial expressions! I think children would love this book!

Picture book. This is a great book for a classroom because it teaches a nice lesson. Also, at least in my experience, kids love the Elephant and Piggie books and the Pigeon books as well. They absolutely eat them up every time they are read.

I Really Like Slop! by Mo Willems, 2015. This is a silly story that incorporates the idea of trying new things even if you might not want to and being respectful to the person who likes it if you don‘t. The illustrations are simple but very expressive and add so much to the story. The story is told as a conversation and without these illustrations, the story would not be the same.

I enjoy Christmas themed books this time of year. This one had a great romantic plot and I really enjoyed all the characters. Throw in that the love interest has a baby owl and rescues kittens - my kind of book!

Asked Eli to grab one or two books to read for bed time. This is more than one or two. I think we need to review counting 🤔😂 #kidlitsy

LauraBrook In book math, that works out. 7y
Zelma I believe in Litsy language, that's one or two books. Don't we always say we're just picking up one or two at the bookstore or on hold at the library? 😂 7y
haileybean 😂 he got them all read. @LauraBrook & @Zelma 7y
