I read this book on vacation. It‘s the story of 3 friends at different stages of life dealing with various problems that they face. No matter what was going on they were always there for each other through the good and bad, love and heartbreak, happiness and tears. I think the women were very relatable and by the end of the book I cared for them as if they were my friends.
These three friends are very relatable. They give a great picture of what true friendship should be. When someone goes through some hard things, we should be there for each other. I‘m moving on to book 2 in this series.
My first bail! This book was one big ball of cringe. I mean, this book has all of the elements of a bad Hallmark movie.
Plot: This book follows three women‘s lives. One is dealing with becoming a grandma and realizing she‘s old. Another‘s husband is a POS who abruptly quits his job to become a screenwriter, leaving her to support them. Lastly, there‘s the oh-so-cliche successful CEO who‘s LoNeLy because she put her career first. 🤢🤮
"Can I be you when I grow up?"
"You're already grown-up. See? Everything happens when we're not paying attention."
More satisfying than the other beach reads I've read this summer. The women in the book make some mistakes but they aren't stupid; all three are also likable and relatable.
I grabbed this thinking it would be a light summer-y read based on the cover: not exactly. There is a lot of weight to this series-opener that focuses on the friendship between three women. The first half was a little slow, but I couldn't stop reading once I reached the halfway point.
