5/5. I wish I could send a copy of this book to anyone who has had a dysfunctional childhood because of their parents. It gave me so much understanding and validation that I wasn‘t expecting. Truly a life changing book for me. 4/100

1/100! First read of the year. This was one of Gregory‘s slower novels but still excellent and I‘d definitely recommend if you enjoy historical fiction that centers around monarchies

11/100. This book was unbelievably sweet. It‘s been so long since I read a YA novel and this one was perfect. Alyssa, who works as Cinderella at a theme park, thinks she has the perfect relationship with her boyfriend. When he breaks up with her she finds the Prince Charming she never knew she needed.

ScoobySnacks3 Thanks again @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks for the read! 2y

5/100. 3.5/5. I decided to read this because I heard Mila Kunis is doing the movie soon and I love her, but I was weary because of so many mixed reviews. I will say this, it‘s a pick for me because of the interesting character development and I was definitely captivated, but I felt like she should have gone further and maybe even a little darker with Ani.

Book 4/100 (lol) with a rating of 3/5. I found the heroine of the story to be extremely pretentious and the beginning was super slow, but once the plot kicked in I will say I definitely found myself wanting to know how it all ended. Has anyone else read this?

2/100. I Have been having such a hard time being still enough to do any task that requires any sort of focused concentration. This was the second book I was able to finish in the fog and it doesn‘t disappoint. On his own weight loss journey for his health the author compares basically all the different diets and his own personal experiences with trying a lot of them (and failing). A great read for anyone interested in nutrition or weight loss.

This book is a great 3 am insomnia read. Researchers make the case for polygamy. They use comparative primate studies and hunter gatherer data to argue that monogamy ISN‘T universal.

Is it so very obvious that you can‘t love more than one person? We seem to manage it with parental love (parents are reproached if they don‘t at least pretend to love all their children equally), love of books, of food, of wine (love of Château Margaux does not preclude love of a fine Hock, and we don‘t feel unfaithful to the red when we dally with the white), love of composers, poets, holiday beaches, friends… Richard Dawkins

I love all the new people that I have met and although I don‘t get a chance to reply as often as I would like (or read) without #litsylove I probably would have become entirely isolated.

Finally, FINALLY finished a book. I‘m rating it 3.5 out of 5 starts because although the plot was good, I found myself skipping pages and just wanting to get to it. Brooke fled town after her high school sweetheart committed suicide after she cheated. However a jealous younger sister and family secrets come to light 11 years later and completely shatter and change Brookes world.

I‘m getting really swept up in royal historical/period dramas lately. At the same time Im also struggling with finishing books. I haven‘t had the time to force myself to read something, so if it doesn‘t catch my attention right off the bat I usually end up not finishing it. That being said, anyone have any recommendations for a book that will hook me right away in this field? It can be fiction or nonfiction.

My first bail! This book was one big ball of cringe. I mean, this book has all of the elements of a bad Hallmark movie.

Plot: This book follows three women‘s lives. One is dealing with becoming a grandma and realizing she‘s old. Another‘s husband is a POS who abruptly quits his job to become a screenwriter, leaving her to support them. Lastly, there‘s the oh-so-cliche successful CEO who‘s LoNeLy because she put her career first. 🤢🤮

Vartabedian claims that colic is caused by 1 of 2 things, acid reflux or a milk protein allergy. And that‘s colic solved, baby.

I‘m not having a lot of time to read right now, but when I am I‘M DEVOURING this book hoping for an answer. Guys, when my baby is awake all she does is 😢. I woke up early this morning to work on my Litsy love and get a few chapters in. Hope everyone has a good week

Darklunarose Hugs. All three of mine were reflux babies so I feel for you ❤️ does a colic carry help Bub? It eased my eldest off a bit but things were different 20 years ago. 4y

Husband and I went on a babymoon and that‘s when I got this gem. This is a love story about writer Mary Frances who is married to Al and having an affair with his best friend Tim. This story is told in a very poetic way, but not overly so to where it makes it hard to follow. Also, I absolutely loved the way that food was used to talk about the hunger that Mary Frances had in her life, love, and work.

This classic is the ultimate tale of cyclical generational trauma. How it is known as a love story is a mystery to me, because even the romantic parts of it made me so, so sad.
Side note: It‘s really hard for me to stick to the classics, just because we don‘t talk like that anymore and it‘s a pain in the ass to slow down for comprehension as I‘m a fast reader. Regardless, it‘s a classic for a reason... what a story!

A Spark of Light | Jodi Picoult

3/5
This was my first time reading a Jodi Picoult novel. Although the book had a great plot, I only gave it 3 stars because it was told in a way that made it extremely hard to focus on it. Besides the fact that there were numerous characters that you had to keep up with, the story was also told backwards which made it extremely confusing. I would read another Picoult book as long as it was written without the backward story line.

rather_be_reading that was her first that i remember her doing that. Dont give up on Picoult! 4y
Coleen This was not one of her best. Try some others! 4y
