Snow Place to Die
Snow Place to Die: A Bed-and-Breakfast Mystery | Mary Daheim
2 posts | 6 read | 4 to read
There's snow place like homicide B&B hostess Judith McMonigle Flynn's ready to hang up her oven mitts, but irrepressible Cousin Renie needs help catering the telephone company's annual winter retreat at secluded Mountain Goat Lodge. The pay's good, the scenery's to die for -- but they never figured there'd be a killer cooking up mischief among this innocuous stew of corporate-climbing phone company ding-a-lings. Unfortunately, Judith and Renie's discovery of the frozen garroted remains of the previous company caterer -- missing since last year's shindig -- suggests no less, since the same cast of characters is present this time around. It's Dial "M" for Mountain Goat Murder, and a storm's blowing in to boot -- leaving Judith and Renie stranded with ten suspects and a corpses...and with nothing better to do than to reach out and touch a killer who's like nothing better than to put two inquisitive cousins in the Deep Freeze.

I made it home, for those who were concerned. This is my back yard. So much snow! (Though it looks like more than it is.)

I used to read this Bed and Breakfast series, and remembered this cover. Had to use it for today's #12DaysofChristmas photo. #snow/men If you like cozies, this us a good series!

Krisjericho Oh, I used to read these, too! I've kind of moved away from cozies. Not sure why. Maybe I will pick one back up! 7y
GlitteryOtters OMG! Screen capping and emailing this one to my mom--totally right up her alley and I don't know if she's read them. 7y
Suzze @Krisjericho Same here! My reading has evolved and I seem to need way more "meat" in my books. 7y

Suzze @GlitteryOtters Oh, good! I hope they are still available. 7y
GlitteryOtters Her library has an AMAZING mysteries section, plus she is only 10 minutes away from another, larger branch with a ton of mysteries so, between the two, odds are good she can find some to try out! Plus she has over $400 in credit at our fave used bookstore out where she lives, so if the library doesn't have it, she can probably grab it at The Bookworm! 7y
kspenmoll I still read them at times to escape & not have to think!!! 7y
