New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Katee Robert begins a smoking hot new series about the O'Malley family-wealthy, powerful, dangerous and seething with scandal. Teague O'Malley hates pretty much everything associated with his family's name. And when his father orders him to marry Callista Sheridan to create a "business" alliance, Teague's ready to tell his dad exactly where he can stuff his millions. But then Teague actually meets his new fiance, sees the bruises on her neck and the fight still left in her big blue eyes, and vows he will do everything in his power to protect her. Everyone knows the O'Malleys have a dangerous reputation. But Callie wasn't aware just what that meant until she saw Teague, the embodiment of lethal grace and coiled power. His slightest touch sizzles through her. But the closer they get, the more trouble they're in. Because Callie's keeping a dark secret-and what Teague doesn't know could get him killed.

5/5 for the first in this series. Hot hot! I just loved this! Teague and Callie were so steamy and wonderful! There were some tense moments but so good. I cannot wait to read the next story.

A good mafia romance. It started off slow and I struggled to get into it. But about halfway through itll the action picked up and I enjoyed it more. Not as steamy as other Katee Robert books, but I‘ll continue to read this series.

Callie is part of an arranged marriage- and she just wants to meet her fiancé before the wedding...and that‘s when things all fall apart.

I DNF‘d after six chapters. I found the writing to be poor, the characters unrelateable, and the plot to be improbable.

This was entertaining but a little too corny for me during some parts. The danger surrounding the families is what kept me reading.

There were a couple things toward the end I wish we could have dug into more but this is probably the first book I've ever called explosive. I was really tense for a lot of it waiting for the other shoe to drop and TEAGUE *fans self* He's so sweet and tough at the same time, which I love in a hero.

Ugh these two! They're so adorable but god the tension of the secrets and danger hanging over their heads is insane.

OMG SHIT JUST GOT REAL. I NEED TO FREAK OUT A BIT BUT I'M ON A BUS. I knew this was gonna be pretty intense/violent because...well...MOB but this family just reached a level way more fucked up than the other two! 😱😱😱😱

I was going to start the next Lumberjanes book (3) but I started this on the bus tonight and I'm SUPER intrigued. I'm only about 30 pages in but I'm impressed so far! And surprised by that, hence the post!

If you don't mind instalove you may find this to be a compelling read. This one just wasn't for me. There's a large amount of violence, both witnessed & implied, & by its nature a mafia family setting is going to include uncomfortable, highly subjugated roles for the women. I'll pass on the sequel.
