I Have Always Known by Narihira #path #PoetryMatters @TheSpineView
I'm a day late with this, but here goes:
The traps of time:
Being born and growing older;
Childhood's end.
Little things
Not forgotten:
The favourite game;
The magic within.

I like to think that I haven't lost the key quite yet; my youthful hopes and dreams are still alive, thank you very much! #LitsyPoetry365
This book is one I studied in high school English. My love of poetry didn't start here, but this book certainly deepened my appreciation. This is an excerpt from D-day Minus by Edwin Brock. #LitsyPoetry365
I don't read or write poetry much these days, but rereading poetry I studied in high school, I'm reminded of how much I miss it. Many of these poems still resonate with me over 25 years later, although some for very different reasons now. I find Lawrence Ferlinghetti's The World is a Beautiful Place particularly relevant today. Other favourites: A Sudden Radiance (Saskatchewan Poetry) and Sylvia Plath's Selected Poems. #seasonsreadings #poetry
