Ishi, the Last of His Tribe | 
It was 11th grade Honors English with Mr. Semple and he picked this book for us even though it was more of a middle grade book. It coincided with a documentary film released in 1992. We went through this entire book sentence by sentence and it still stays with me today. The treatment of the native people as well as the way he was treated as an oddity but still he found grace and beauty in the world. This is a valuable read. #FunFridayPhoto
