How to Live with a Neurotic Dog
How to Live with a Neurotic Dog | Stephen Baker
3 posts | 2 read | 1 reading | 1 to read
This hilarious, tongue-in-cheek, self-help parody is a "must have" for dog owners who are baffled by their dog's quirky habits and questionable conduct. Whether Fido compulsively chews up old blankets, obsessively licks the hardwood floor, or barks uncontrollably at an empty corner, bestselling humor author Stephen Baker offers "expert" advice on understanding, analyzing, and curing aberrant behavior. The newly repackaged "How to Live with a Neurotic Dog" covers a wide range of neuroses, including training, grooming, traveling, and feeding freak outs. Through entertaining illustrations and sharply witty text, this canine classic will help dog owners see things from their pooch's point of view.

Chapter 5 “Traveling with the Neurotic Dog” and pictures of my boy on vacation last week. (It‘s hitting too close to home! lol!) This book is hilarious and would make a great gift for anyone with a spoiled, neurotic dog! 🐶 🐾

JoScho I have a neurotic dog. I may need to look into this one. 7y
rachelk @JoScho It probably won‘t help with behavior issues, but at least you‘ll laugh! 7y
Vikkiha I have a nervous & anxious dog too, JRT/collie cross. She‘s so particular. 7y
rachelk @Vikkiha Aww, she is cute! I bet she‘s smart too! Mine is a rescue dog but the vet thinks probably JRT/chihuahua mix. (edited) 7y
Vikkiha Rescue dogs are best! He‘s so cute, such an alert face, like he knows everything. 😊 7y

After a frustrating day, coming home to this did not make me happier. Going to run to the second grocery store of the day because I need marinara for tomorrow's girls night (seriously, how hard is it to keep that in stock?) and then I can come home and read, preferably with wine in hand. At least he didn't rip it up. Yet.

Bklover I have five dogs. Key word is "yet". Good luck! (And I am ALWAYS out of marinara!) 8y
EvieBee Argh! Yes. Understand 100%. Hugs! 8y
CocoReads @Bklover and @EvieBee84 thanks. I still didn't get the brand I wanted but I'm sure what I got will be fine. And the drive there and back helped my attitude a bit 8y
Joybishoptx My partner buys like five jars of marinara at a time. That's why they're always out 😉 and my dog goes for the trash when we leave 8y
CocoReads So far he's stayed out of the trash. We've had him for 5 years and except for excessive barking he's been mostly fine. The last 6 months or so have been trying though. 8y
