This book was not bad…sort of a slow burn thriller that keeps you wanting a little bit more but doesn‘t hold you so captive you can‘t put it down. I like that this book, written by a British author, did not Americanize the slang. Never knew being a slut meant being a slob or lazy. I‘m feeling quite slutty today as all I‘ve wanted to do was finish this book 🤣

So... What do you do between naps because you've caught the lurgy and are not at work? You reeeeeead.....

Whizzed through this intense offering. Dark and twisty characters, lots of intrigue to keep you guessing. You really feel for Lizzie, and alternating chapters between her and Zach just laid bare the horrific emotional abuse and how he justified it. Lots of odd little references to things I know well - a school, a location, a trip.... Freaky!

Oooooh, love it when a book grabs you from the very first page......

Read this for book club. Ended up skim reading it. Didn‘t enjoy it at all

Not what I was expecting, although I still whipped through this. Definitely interesting, and I really liked the dual narrative. I was expecting more twists and reveals towards the end so it felt a wee bit anticlimactic to me. Still a great read.

A year after Zach's death, Lizzie goes to lay flowers where his fatal accident took place.

As she makes her way along the road, she thinks about their life together. Whether she has changed since he died. If she will ever feel whole again.

She reaches the spot. Tied to a tree is a bunch of lilies. The flowers are addressed to Zach. Someone has been there before her. She‘s starting to realise she didn't really know him. Or what he was capable of.

The end wasn't what I was expecting but still good.

Kinda slow but one of those books that you have to know how it ends. 62% done.

I've had this on my to read list forever. Time to finally start it.
